Foodie Friday: Guest Blog: Yon’s Deviled Eggs

We recently were invited to a lovely dinner at our friends, Gary and Jan’s, house. Among other delectable hors d’oeuvres, they served deviled eggs. I quickly gobbled them up one after another, as there was something extra special about these golden ovals. Jan said it was a recipe from her dear Aunt Yon. Well, lucky us, because Aunt Yon shared her recipe with My Daily Creative. The rest of the dinner was exquisite as well, so I plan on recreating some of those dishes for future Foodie Fridays. To be continued…

Yon’s Deviled Eggs

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon red vinegar

4 tablespoons mayo

1 teaspoon grated white onion

1 teaspoon dry mustard

salt and pepper

Cut 12 boiled eggs in half, mix the egg yolks with the above ingredients, and fill with mixture, and top with 1 leaf of basil and 1 sliver of jalepeno. Sprinkle with paprika.
