Circle (Page 3)

Round Root’s uncle was a drummer, and he was stretching a hide over his drum as Round Root asked him about the power of the bracelet.

His uncle traced his finger around the rim of the drum, “I get the same power of the circle in the shape of my drum. When I pound on the drum, it is like the heart beat of life that is in all of us. “

The chief approached and said he had heard that Round Root was having trouble understanding the power of the circle. The chief explained how he felt the power from his people. He showed Round Root how the tepees were set in a circle and how the people follow the cycles of nature and dance in a circle to the beat of life. The chief told Round Root to walk into the forest to look for more answers.
